Auditions

Adult auditions for TYKEs' 2010-2011 season will take place on Tuesday, August 31st and Thursday, September 2, 2010 from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Hart Theatre at the JCC, 1200 Edgewood Avenue in Brighton. No appointment is needed, and you need only attend one of the two evenings, not both.

Adults interested in Seussical: please bring sheet music for an up-tempo song, accompanist provided. You may also bring a one-minute monologue appropriate for children's theatre IF you wish -- this is optional.

Adults auditioning only for If you Give A Mouse A Cookie: you do not need to sing, but should come prepared with a one-minute monologue appropriate for children's theater.

Scripts will also be available at the audition for cold readings. If you have a headshot and resume, please bring them along as well.

Auditions for kids ages 10-13 for the role of Jojo in Seussical (sorry, we are only auditioning kids ages 10-13 at this time) take place from 6 to 7:00 p.m. both days (above) at the JCC. All kids must sing an up-tempo song and bring sheet music, accompanist provided.

Adult actors: if you are not able to attend auditions, please feel free to forward your headshot and resume to TYKEs at any time (57 Everwild Lane, Rochester, NY 14616). We will keep the information in our active actor file.

Also, roles for more than 60 local children are available for TYKEs' upcoming production of Tortoise and the Hare, presented by Missoula Children's Theatre in November of 2010.
